Vintage..........

This is something very different for me.....a vintage inspired card! My inspiration is  Flora, her home and her vintage glamour! Vintage doesn't come easily, though I love everything vintage....take a look
The front and back of the little 10x10cm envelope are embellished with a collage of random pieces of olde world paper, stamps and lace. An aged brass feather and rivets bring a touch of steam punk to an otherwise soft and pretty project.

The little card inside sports a gorgeous fabric flower and Happy Birthday sentiment. Please excuse the orientation of the photo below ...can't seem to figure out how to turn it around!!

Summer....Day 1

Hi everyone...long time no see! I've had a hard 12 months and haven't been able to spend as much time as I'd like posting here on my blog. Anyway, it's the first day of summer here in the south and here I am to show you what's been happening through winter. This set of cards was inspired by Leni, a vivacious, fun loving and determined young woman who loves animals more than people and loves to dress up whenever she can!

This is by far my favorite ever...I love the new 'Flock Together' stamp set from Stampin Up. So cute and so many plump little birdies to use! I call this one 'Birds on a Wire'
This is fun and happy, just like Leni...lots of colour and life. I have used the 'Patterned Party' stamp set by Stampin Up.
......and last but not least....Leni loves to dress up so this is a nod to her more elegant side. Here a retired set 'Sprinkled Expressions'
See you soon....Pat

Olive's Flower Pot .........

My first attempt at a Flower pot card.....with limited supplies!!
My daughter needed a thank you card for a friend who gave our "Olive" a gift. The card is hidden inside the flowerpot......... just pull it up!
I thought this would be cute.........

I made the insert like a normal card instead of a plain pocket insert so that it can stand alone or even when it's inside the pot......

Olive inspired.....

Hi everyone! It's been a while but I'm back to show you a few things I've made which are all inspired by my new granddaughter...."our wee Olive". It's amazing the effect a new baby has on a family. We are all a little obsessed with her. Here she is and here are the things she inspired......

Debbies Kitchen Tea..........

Hi all.....finally a card that came from "out of my mind"...........
We were invited to cousin Debbies Kitchen tea (lots and lots of gorgeous sweets to eat) and of course I needed a card to go with the gift.
A black and white wrapping paper inspired the theme of the card. I used a 'stack of gifts' stamp on the cover from the "Happy Moments" stamp set ..............

and on the inside.........stamps from "Sillhouette Sentiments" ....both from Stampin' Up!

In the meantime............

Hi everyone.....you know the old saying "don't spread yourself too thin".....well that's me!! I have closed a couple of my shops that weren't so busy and am concentrating on those that are...Ebay would you believe.
The point is, some of the photos in my posts might look a bit odd until I can edit them, however, the computer housing all the photos has gone on strike so I have to wait for the computer guy to have a look.
My husband told me to back them up :(
Anyway, here's a link you might like to look at in the meantime.........

Back to work............

Hi everyone...its been a slow start to 2011 as far as creating and blogging but not so for life in general!!
An invitation to a family baptism and a friends baby shower has given me the motivation to grab the stamps and papers again and see what I can do........(the seasoned cardmakers make it all look so easy).
Three baby cards required....three produced!
See what you think........

Harry Potter meets scrapbooking..........

Just when I thought I had run out of ideas for my Harry Potter inspired jewellery along came the wonderful Ngaire who opened up a whole new world for my charms......scrapbooking!!
She purchased a load of my charms and then informed me that she had used them on a HP scrapbook layout that she's working on. Take a look at her post here to see her amazing and inspiring work...not to mention my little charms :)
With papercfaft fast becoming my new best friend I now have a head full of ideas for combining my two favorite crafts........stayed tuned to see the results.

Thanks Ngaire........"Living in a ScrapHeap"

Stamp On..........Stampin' Up!

So.....as if there aren't enough projects on the table, we have now added stamping and card making!! I joined the fantastic Stampin' Up! company and am very quickly hooked. After just 1 month I was thrust into the NSW Regional seminar where everyone made and swapped sample cards showcasing there own individual ideas. I got over the nerves just long enough to swap my first attempt at a card....then I saw the efforts of the very experienced, creatives all around me :( .......I have a lot to learn, and look forward to the road ahead.
I called this "Clayton's Christmas" because I had no specific Christmas stamps, shapes or messages....just the red and green colored inks..........
